Who We Are
Our board is entirely queer-led, with 26 years of collective camp experience. We are proud to also be entirely disabled-led and majority trans-led, with Indigenous and Latine leaders.
Bug Fantham

Board President
Camp Co-Director
Bug works as a peer mentor for community college students from Spanish-speaking households interested in transferring to 4 year universities and offers ADA-accessible campus tours. They are graduating from UC Santa Cruz in 2025 with a degree in Theatre Arts, with a focus on dramaturgy and the theatre of the oppressed. As an educator and youth leader they follow the philosophies of Paulo Friere and are inspired by the works of Aurora Levins Morales. They are latine and disabled.
Bug is a former camp counselor and attended summer camps annually in their youth. They were a girl scout for 12 years and earned their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. Bug’s hope for campers is that they leave camp feeling inspired to make deeper, more meaningful connections within their community, and that they feel hopeful in times of trouble. Their favorite camp song is “Hermie the Worm.”
